Famous nature photographer Filip Kulisev visits Veragua Rainforest

by Shannon Farley

Veragua Rainforest was honored recently with a visit by famous Slovak photographer and explorer Filip Kulisev.

Kulisev has released his beautifully artistic photographs of the Veragua Rainforest, taken on a rainy day in December 2018. He vividly captures the amazing colors and textures of the rainforest vegetation taken from varied perspectives. He catches a resting Leaf Frog with its bright red eyes open. And he shows the powerful force of Veragua’s magnificent 20-meter-high (65-foot) Puma Waterfall.

Kulisev is an internationally respected photographer who has inspired awareness of the planet’s incredible biodiversity and natural resources through his photography project and website, Amazing Planet. He has had more than 200 solo exhibitions around the world and his work and publications are part of the collections of eminent personalities, such as Pope Francis, His Royal Highness Prince Charles, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, and Slovak President Andrej Kiska. His books are sold all over the world.

Renowned for his extraordinary ability to capture spectacular landscapes in a technically impeccable form, Kulisev holds the title Master QEP (Qualified European Professional Photographer) for his nature photography. This is the highest qualification award in Europe. Kulisev also is a Fellow from the British Institute of Professional Photographers (FBIPP) in London, and the founder of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Slovak Republic (APFSR).

“Filip Kulisev strives constantly to find and photograph the most wonderful and unique sites on our planet for the benefit of nature lovers throughout the world,” reads his website.

Veragua Rainforest in Costa Rica is thrilled to be a “wonderful and unique site on our planet” that Kulisev chose to photograph.

Less than one hour from the Caribbean Port of Limon, the Veragua Rainforest brings visitors into Costa Rica’s amazing tropical rainforest to explore its natural wonders. On exciting and educational tours, visitors see tropical butterflies, frogs, birds and other animals, go on walks in the forest by a waterfall, ride a sky gondola, enjoy canopy zip lines, and learn about leading on-site scientific research by The Foundation for Rainforest Research (the Veragua Foundation).

To book your tour and see these amazing sights featured in Kulisev’s photographs, contact Veragua Rainforest.
