VERAGUA RAINFOREST Research & Adventure Park

The Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad (National Institute of Biodiversity), our scientific partner, collaborated on the design of Veragua Rainforest and our training programs. Also they supervise the research efforts carried out on site and they run their own biological research station in our facilities.
In 1995, the Prince of Asturias Scientific and Technical Research Award (Prince of Asturias Foundation, Spain) was bestowed upon INBio for its work researching Costa Rica biodiversity.

We are proud to be supported by two of the world’s most renowned and committed to conservation and sustainability development NGO's:

Conservation International is a non-profit organization dedicated to protect the Earth’s most important biodiversity centers. It has 40 member countries and participated in the financing of Veragua Rainforest through its Verde Ventures Fund.

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protect the highest priority land and seas sites, with the goal of preserving the planet’s biodiversity. It has 27 member countries and participated in the financing of Veragua Rainforest through its EcoEnterprises Fund.

The project management and capital raising has been led by Novita Capital, a Costa Rican firm focused on creating and developing unique and challenging projects.
